Real Bhogi is Yogi / Sanyaasi . Since they ( he / she ) want nothing . Desire nothing . Resist nothing . Accept life as it comes . 

" Life is beyond Light and Darkness . Life is beyond knowldege and ignorance . The world communicates to you , even when your consciousness is not there , even when your mind is absent . Like in Deep sleep ! 

Knowledge about the absence of something is also a special form of knowledge . Hridaya vidya is lost to mankind for centuries and was brought out again by elightened sages . 

Sanskrit word : " Ameyam " = the immeasurable . Etymology : maa = measure . Sanskrit . In Hindi ,  ' maa' or maata ( mother ) is the one who constantly MEASURES the progress of her child . Hence, maa is someone who some measures . Ameyam = immeasurable. 

In India , we can see 3 types of world teachers . One was  Veda Vyaasa . Second was  Aadi Shankara . Third was people like Ramana Maharshi and his contemporary enlightened sages . 

There are 3 tools required for spiritual evolution . (1) Sruti ( text or concept ) (2) Yukti ( reflection , logical analysis . Enquiry , as to whether the knowledge we received is true or false . If so, why . and (3) Swaanubhuti = Personal Experience . 

Veda Vyaasa gave enough of the first . Sruthi , the texts . 

Adi Sankara  gave a logical framework to esoteric philosophy and spirituality .  He built a system to work , away from the superstition of an organized religion . Even though he never disowned or condemned religion . In fact, he stood steadfast by Hinduism . 

Adi Sankara epitomized YUKTI .  Veda Vyaasa was the epitome of Surthi . 

 Master of swaanubhuti ( personal experience  = Ramana Maharshi, and mystics like him , during his lifetime, before and after. 

We the lesser mortals, need all the 3 . Some text input, , a conceptual input , some reflection and applying logic , to verify what we received is true or not , so that we do not fall into blind superstition , and thirdly ,  the personal experience however faint , however brief . 

 Without the thrid, we cannot OWN the knowledge unless it becomes a personal experience . 

Krishnamurti gaaru : 

" There are 2 types of sleep . Our daily physical sleep , in night . Our Soul level sleep , where we are unaware of existence of soul, in ourselves and in others . Unawareness is another kind of sleep . 

Krishnamurti gaaru, after Kriti vaasan gaaru . Full of humour . Sharp satirical insights . Gentle humour . 

Like JK said, ' mind has a place '. 

" We learn to switch of all instruments, once their purpose is over . Life fans, a/c , tubelights , TV , computer, and other  Gadgets . Why not mind ? It's also a gadget . A tool and an instrument .

  Purpose of Satsang is to subdue ego . If politics start there also , the very purpose is defeated and it's an oxymoron .  

We are all souls . Spirits . But we have no soul level experience . Hence, we identify with external.
